2K Games Releases Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword

The latest and largest expansion pack for the popular game, Sid Meier's Civilization IV, is now in stores. Developed for the PC by Firaxis Games, Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword, features the largest amount of expansion content in the history of the Civilization franchise.

Civilization IV, which was originally released in 2005, has sold over 1.5 million units making it a commercial hit and developing a huge following. Beyond the Sword, the second expansion pack focuses on the later time periods of the game - after the invention of gunpowder - and delivers 11 new scenarios to the core game. In addition, ten new civilizations, 16 new leaders, five new wonders, and a variety of new units will allow gamers to expand their civilizations and attempt to conquer the world.
